Creative activities

Czech photographer primarily focused on studio photography featuring a typical, inimitable style – colourised photographs (since 1977). He spent part of World War II at Auschwitz concentration camp with his brother, artist Karel Saudek. In his early work he addressed the themes of childhood and the relationship between adults and children. The most frequent subject of his photographs
is the female body and the relationship between men and women. He is well-known around the world, has received numerous awards and has been appointed to the rank of Knight of the Legion of Honour.
