Petr Pudil, a prominent Czech entrepreneur and patron of the arts, is the co-founder of BPD Partners, a family office that operates in the energy, chemical, biotechnology and real estate industries. He and his wife Pavlina Pudil founded the Pudil Family Foundation, which owns an extensive collection of Czech and international art. Its aim is to support projects connecting Czech art with the international art scene. The foundation owns the former Zenger substation in Prague’s Klárov district, where the Prague Kunsthalle, a similar building to major galleries and cultural centres abroad, was opened in 2022 after an extensive renovation. The philanthropist is a member of the acquisition committee of the British gallery Tate and, with his wife Pavlina, of the international advisory board of Palais Tokyo in Paris. He is a major funder of Post Bellum, a not-for-profit charitable company that records the memories of twentieth-century totalitarian regime survivors as part of the Memory of the Nation project. Petr Pudil is a member of the international board of the European network GLOBSEK. Pavlína Pudil is a member of the board of directors of the Together with Courage Foundation which helps seriously ill children and their families with its therapeutic and educational programmes.
